		<description>Few workers have any idea how to apply for disability benefits - the medical evidence required and the amt to expect or even where to obtain that info. It would be helpful to include this info here and to remind all concerned that time here is of the essence. Workers must apply with the requisite medical evidence in a very timely manner and are well advised to seek legal counsel early in the claim to ensure proper procedures are foll&#039;d on bth sides. Helpful info like this should be much more widely available as a general rule. Anything less results in ugly and expensive litigation at a time when sick/injured worker should be directing energies toward recovery.</description>

		<description>Coverage is provided based on the employer-provided plan design and can vary from employer to employer.  Typically dispensing fees are covered within Canadian healthcare plans, however more recently employers have been building consumerism levers into their plan by implementing dispensing fee caps.  By implementing a cap at say, $8.00 per prescription, if employees have their drugs dispensed at lower cost pharmacies (Costco, Loblaws, Walmart, etc.) who charge dispensing fees of $6.00-$8.00 per prescription, their dispensing fee will be covered through the plan.  However if employees have their drugs dispensed at Shoppers Drug Mart or Rexall, where dispensing fees are $10.00-$13.00 per prescription, then employee will need to pay the difference.

To confirm what is covered, always refer to the group insurance contract or employee booklet of the employer-sponsored group benefits program.</description>
